A little help with steel wool hair. It works!

I was warned long time ago about the effects on our hair from prednisone,

My hair went from shiny, straight beautiful hair to squirrel hair (at least that's what I call it)

I have tried everything.. Nothing worked until now!

There is a product I found on Amazon;

Amazing!!

This is my technique.. Takes some time, but oh my what a difference!

*tools needed*

Hair dryer. Flat Iron. Oodles of patience! A pallet of wine! 🙄🤔

1.Wash & condition using your fav product.

2. Towel dry (pat dry, be gentle.. Cuts down on frizz)

3. Generously spray this product throughout your hair. Run a wide tooth comb through it all!

4. Blow dry on med heat, medium air flow (cuts down on frizz & flyaways)

5. Here comes the magic!!!

Section hair!

Set flat iron on low to medium setting!

Do your hair, a section at a time.

The frizz will be gone!

The horrible, stick your finger in a light socket exploding ball of hair, will be gone.

This product is an incredible hair protectorate. So it will not damage your hair further!

The best side effects.. Your hair will look amazing, feel like silk.. And numero uno.. It will last for days!

Yes, ladies it will take some time!!

I was excited to read this as my hair is a frizzy, wiry mass too (GCA/PMR - currently 12 mg pred) sadly it doesn’t appear to be available in the UK. Pleased it works for you though.

Great tip - also hair gets better on lower dose of pred

I use the Kerastase Discipline range with similar effect from Feel Unique website. It seems expensive to buy, but lasts so long, it actually works out cheaper than a lot of other hair products I've used in the past.

Just be aware that too much heat is not good for hair - at any time - Pred/PMR or not... it dries out the natural oils... despite what the blurb says.

Oh yes! Completely aware.. Heat is not our best friend. I have no intention of doing this daily! Heck no!!

Obviously our self esteem takes a beating with this disease! Even on good days I would look in the mirror and cry! Hated to go anywhere.. So being able to fix my hair so I could go out somewhere was well worth the time spent! Yay! 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️

I may use the technique a few times a month. Hope it works for the other ladies here! 🙏🙏
