Thankyou for your replies to my post re sepsis. One or two of you have also had sepsis, how long do you think before you feel ‘back to normal ‘ again?

By the way I am newish to a forum and not sure if I am putting my posts in the right place? Also I cant work out how to do a private message?

You’ve done it! Your message is in the right place.

To send a PM click on chat at the top of the screen, and then click compose.

As Mary says you have posted in the right place, ie the general forum & the other way to do a PM is to click on the Persons Profile in a Reply or as Mary says click ‘Chat’ or Messages at the bottom of using an iPhone.

My friend has just come out of hospital after getting sepsis in the thumb from a bramble , they were in a week on IV antibiotics and pain killers .

They just had their Steroids increased on leaving hospital from 10 mg to 15 mg . They were told not to taper for four weeks and go slow again in their case rather than try to do the quick jump back down after ten days.

They also have Mixed Neuralgia and Hip Dysplasia , so I think the choices depend on her other issues as well as her PMR.

Good luck with it lots of rest , fluids , light meals and hopefully you feel more yourself in a few weeks.
