Thank you all for your very funny replies to my last message to do with our dogs. It is so nice to be able to laugh about our pets and that we all interact about speaking about them with funny stories. Nice to have an escape now and then. Although I can still smell the Fox pooh. Ugh.... looks like more tomatoes ketchup required. Ha ha. I saw my poorly neighbour today znd took him some homemade soup and spinach and cheese quiche for lunch. His wife is exhausted so gives her some lunch too that she doesn't have to prepare. It always makes me feel better when I can offer help to others. Have a good and painted week all. Thank you also for listening. πxx

Thanks again
Hi
Lucky next door neighbours but that's a really nice thing to do
I am envious of your Jack Russel I lost mine a few years ago and then decided with this illness I was not well enough to have another .
But hopefully one day in the future I will be able to have another one
You take care yourself and have a good week
Rose
Thanks Rose. A dog is such a good companion. I'm sure that you would find another dog such a bonus. Xx
Its the walking at present and dogs do need exercise
when the time is right maybe I retire this time next year but also want to go and see family more so it would be difficult to do this and have a dog again
I agree but could the dog not travel with you? X
Hi
That just made me laugh
I have a job getting myself their let alone a dog as well
I don't drive so have a bus ,ferry , train to London and then underground I breath a sigh of relief as I get on the final train as I know the end is in site .
I have to pack really light as find I cant carry to much
I'm like a limp rag when I arrive but its worth it
Did you know that you can get assistance at staffed stations on the railway? Not sure about getting on to the underground, might have to be a taxi across London. Would think it might be worth enquiring what is available.
How neighbourly of you and how true it makes you feel better, your kindness is keeping your mind of things too. Now the dog that's another matter - wonder what he/she thinks your up to with the ketchup - probably thinks its a treat for rolling in the fox poo and can't wait to do it again! Thought the smell should have gone by now though particularly after shampoo and a bath...I'm afraid it would be hose down time...
Enjoy your week too - you've got the Book Club coming up soon...
I'll let you know about 5he film. Just looked funny and such talented actresses. Oh and Andy Gambia. Yum yum. ππ
So pleased you are feeling a little better but sorry the dog still smells a bit. π· flowers to help with the smell π π
Just read your post, all these things will pass! I've had a week and a half looking after my son's dog Murphy, a lovely boy, gentle patient with 3 children under 8 years old. Add to the mix my friend and golden retriever, Toffee, who came to keep me company for a few days. Then add chickens, Toffee killed the cockerel on the first day!!!!! How could I tell the grandchildren when they returned from Spanish holiday.
Next day, phone call from Spain to say son's partner in hospital after being chucked into pool, banged head on side of pool, cut head concussion, he thought he had killed her!!!! This out the cockerel incident into perspective.
Then, Toffee managed to scrape my ped thin skin on my arm needing stitches, a real mess, and I had just managed to be mark free on both arms!!!
Murphy my lovely boy was innocent of all offences. Home now, daughter in law still a bit groggy but on the mend.
Hope I haven't gone too much, I'm sure all the gang here will cheer you up, just keep battling on, you will come through!!β€οΈπ
Lovely to see you walking back into the sunlight again and your first thought was for others! Thatβs part of this thing, feeling so b***** useless.
I think it's really hard not to always give the help you'd like but for me anyway that's probably one of the reasons I'm here with PMRGCA. I certainly need wisdom to know when to help( if I can) and be creative when I can't do what I want to but can do something else. For me anyway it's a learning curve, one that I sometimes find difficult and frustrating.
