Happy new year
Thank you and the same to you , hugs xx
I’ll second that!! I’ll raise my glass of seed lip and tonic ( non alcoholic gin which is very nice ) as hubby upstairs ill ( terrible sickness and flu like symptoms) just very grateful that up to now I haven’t caught it.
Is it like gin or do you have to think it is another drink?
To me it tastes of proper gin and tonic but I’m sure a real expert may disagree. In a gin glass ( was bought for Christmas) with tonic, ice and a slice of orange I think it’s very very nice. It is quite expensive though but also has no artificial flavouring or sweetners. It’s carb free and calorie free. This was a real plus for me until I realised the carbs in the tonic!! There are two versions the one I’ve got is the citrus one.
I can't bear full-fat tonic - and have finally found a source of diet tonic here! That is zero carbs ...
I quite like the real stuff but happy to try the diet tonic . Does it contain artificial sweeteners though?
If you can get soft drinks sweetened with stevia you will avoid both the calories and the artificial sweeteners.
Unfortunately ...
Zevia tonic is made with stevia - though lord knows who might stock it!!!
I noticed it was, like everything else, sold by that evil company. We can get it in the natural foods section of our supermarket.
I wonder if our bio store will have it - strange country when it comes to soft drinks Italy!!!
Well, North America, particularly the US, lives on soft drinks, called pop in Canada, as far as I know usually soda in the US. My brother in law who moved with the family to the US when he was about seven, used to buy his own supply of cola when he visited us as it wasn't something I generally stocked. Then he became the only member of the family, although the youngest in our generation, to come down with a heart condition and needed a stent. He no longer drinks soda!
When on a cruise mostly populated with Americans I was interested and a bit appalled to observe people drinking cola with their breakfast eggs.
You should see the soft drinks sections in Italian supermarkets - with some utterly disgusting particularly Italian options! Less so here where I live where there are vast amounts of fruit juices - marginally better. Maybe.
Yes - soda as a breakfast drink, whatever it is with, is just wrong!!!
