Happy New Year!

Last year..for the first time..we wrote once a week a good thing that happened during the week and stuck it in a jar. Husband managed at least 6 months and I the whole year..other than a couple weeks here and there and tonight we will read and remember all the good things! And there were many. (politics aside!) So this year I fully intend to do it too. Rather than dwelling on the aches and pains. A bit Pollyannaish I suspect..but in the midst of PMR surely Pollyanna is a boon! May 2018 bring you all health and happiness! (and maybe a jar full of good times!)

I am going to try and get paint brushes out and hope I can hold them up to canvas this year. I am rubbish but like the creative process. The is NOT a new years resolution lol😊

Wasn't feeling funny this morning when I went to drive to supermarket..flat tyre from when I skidded in snow and hit kerb. I have expected it. Hoping that's not the start of the new year! New cars these days don't have spares just a spray thing that gets you to garage. Fortunately because it motability I can get mobile tyre fitters..between 8.3p and 1pm weds.. hurrah!! Every cloud....

I would say that since you ruined the tyre in 2017, today's event is more like the end of the year, not the start.. 😉

Mobile tyres... that's convenient..

That is brilliant point!! It was 2017. 😎

We DID keep them secret!!! and hoping there are indeed some funny ones. It will be fun to do. Would be MORE fun if we had done it when our kids were Teenagers and I would have had to NAG them to write each week!! ha. would have loved to see what THEY would have had to say!!! Also... it was the FIRST thing I ever did the whole year. (never managed kids star charts more than a week or New Year's resolutions or practicing the instruments... but this for some reason accomplished! )

What a lovely idea Yogabonnie! Have a lovely time reminiscing. May the 'good things' jar be equally full this time next year for you and yours. Wishing you a healthy, happy 2018.

well just so you know.. he DID write a lot of them (hurrah! sounds so good!) but NO interest in READING them. hahahaha. (sainted husband just lost his halo.)

Thank you Yogabonnie what a good idea. I have a spare Diary. Have to be a bit careful ,I often slip into my 47 year old diving suit, the Suit! not me I wish, and I am swimming with Hammerhead sharks, in my Day dreams, it has not helped with the Blue Water films- just one more Dive........... but in the meantime thank you for the Good wishes for 2018, the same to you, and all of US

Great idea! I keep a gratitude journal, write every morning before 5 am Pred dose. I try to be very specific ...like I was able to lift 5 pounds up from 3, or my mother remembered what she had for dinner the night before, or the date was OK (that’s a rarity)! You get the idea. Psychologists say grateful people are happy people. Oh well, I’ll be thankful if we all feel better and have easier tapering to zero!
