Hope everyone has a good and healthy New Year. Celebrating alone as friends have gone down with flu-like bug. Daughter offered to come over but I know she has her own plans. So I'll get a sea bass out of the freezer, cook a good meal, open a decent bottle of wine , and open the box of chocolate truffles I've been resisting since Christmas. Have several good books so shall be quite happy . 🤩

I'm in the office meeting year-end deadlines so the young people who work for me get some time to get dressed up and make a night of it.

Tomorrow I'll be curling up under the Christmas tree with a book and The Lucky Dog. And maybe a hot toddy or two.
