Here are a few of my most recent paintings...

None of these paintings are actually done except the one left bottom. Right top I painted with two fingertips. Top left I tried to be artsy... the bottom right was going to be a background until I got hooked on the mesmerizing trees. The number of trees changes every time you look at it. Anyway I finally got my art area set up but not enough time to do a new Christmas painting. I have one more trip to load up an suv then I am done. I can hardly move this morning my lower back is killing me.

Merry Christmas everyone.....

Love top left! x

It is fun when people stop by. The one you like has been the favorite and I have to keep from touching it up just a bit as everytime I try to improve it I ruin it... Thanks

Happy Holidays

Worth waiting for Lin. I love the one you did with your fingers and I see what you mean about the number of trees lovely.

Like I said to Dorset Lady I have to call it finished as I am not good at just enhancing I always ruin the painting. So gonna call it good n leave it alone.

I know that feeling, I’ve ruined more than I like by not stopping ..,,

You need an exhibit.

Advice from my teacher was that half of the art of art is stopping when its done.

Love your style Lin. Acrylics?

I’d never have thought of fingertip painting........

well done Lin- looking forward to seeing more of your art if we are lucky enough to have another “free post” day.

Take care of that back and have a Happy Christmas.

Bedtime here now. Night night.

in reply tolinda49

I hope you have notification off I would feel awful waking you up.

Yes I use acrylics. I can't tolerate mineral spirits so have never tried oils.

I’m thinking the top right and bottom right paintings are symbolic images of our journeys with these illnesses. I could be way off but to me they are great depictions of the struggle. The colors are so evocative, and the ever-changing trees, what happens daily!

How big are these Lin?

Love that you are painting again !

in reply toMstiles

My canvas are 16 X 20 inches. I just made a mistake on my last purchase n got 12x12 inch and they are flat.

I might try some pour art with them n see how it comes out.

You’ll probably get some happy accidents!

in reply toMstiles

I was doing one of those acrylic pours for my daughter in laws B-Day. I put red black n white n it was the best accident ever. It was my first n I let it run to fast Down it ended up a po💗int then I turned it fast to right then left and had an almost perfect heart. I painted it black on background n she loved it.

Try turning them on the diagonal and see if inspiration strikes.

Hi Lin,

I am a quilter and one of my aims for next year is to make a landscape quilt so your tree paintings shall be added to my inspiration wall.

I love the colours.

Judy

in reply toJudyliz

I have a dear friend who is a quilter. She too has an inspiration wall. She is the one who turned her living room n kitchen in her apt into her studio. It was always neat and tidy and now I too have turned my dining area over to my homemade studio.

Now I am going to try and heal from my last fall and then onto painting.

Merry Christmas!

Well, you can send us a painting in the New Year, about when the February drag starts. That’ll do nicely.

Love the Genesis painting, a lot going on there!

Merry Christmas and an artistic 2020, Lin.

in reply toSlowdown

That started out as an acrylic pour. I did not measure how much paint would be needed so ran short and just wiped off around the top and bottom.

Once I started to really look at it it blew my mind. Bottom right is Adam chasing Eve..men have never changed..... then top middle is the fallen angels coming thru to earth and mating with women and then on the right you will see the giants that were created one is holding a blue heart. Then on left is dinosaurs. This is a painting right out of the Book of Enoch which shares this much clearer than the Bible. I am always looking for things not talked about and find it fascinating and definitely eye opening.

I welcome any and all personal msgs. This has shown to me a huge deception played on the entire earth.

Merry Christmas
