Thank you to all the people who replied to my post regarding my blurred eyes.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but I have not been 100 percent.

Well I have had a full scan done on my eyes, and various other eye test, fields tests etc, and all came back clear.

I have blood tests done doctor rang me to say CRP and ESR are ok, forgot to ask what the figures were, but going today for a print out.

The eye tests were done at specsavers opticians, who I might say we're very good, and the lady who did the tests knew about GCA , she let me look at the scan results and explained everything to me

Also the optician said that Amitriptyline can cause blurred eyes as she has had other patients with this.

Once again thank you all for your feed back, it's great that you all find time to help people

I’m am sorry you haven’t been feeling 100%. Your spec savers lady sounds good. Back to amber alert, vigilance then. Like the rest of us. Take care!

Glad you were thorough and can get back to "normal". Thanks for that reminder. My morning blurriness has got much better since I stopped amitriptyline. Who knew!

thank you, even doctors do not know all the side effects that medication has, but the optician did.

I am happy to hear that all your tests are coming back clear. And thank you for the information- I was recently put on amitriptyline for Migraines. When I asked about side effects I was only told it would make me tired, take it at night and it might balance out my prednisone. Why would any doctor put someone who is worried about possible GCA on a drug that affects our vision? I am sitting here shaking my head!
