I still am having trouble getting the hang of the messages.

Is that Private Messages Yulik? Do you use a phone, computer or iPad?

At present I downloaded this forum on my iPhone 7

If it’s a Private Message, select Home 🏠 & at the bottom you’ll see two speech bubbles, select that, then start typing in the Persons Name, select & then type message.
