You are all very kind and I thank you for your responses. I did ring 999 and have been having tests in A&E all day. Just got back. Oesophageal Spasms. Heart and lungs fine. I have GERDS but Lanzaprozole deals with it well . These spasms started in last month or so, which aligns with the increase in Pred from 4/5ish a month or so ago to 60mg. Bless you all

I do Kendrew. I have so much going on the moment pmr, tmj gca and just COVID I can’t see the trees for the forest. Calming down now a bit . Many thanks

Things will improve. Sometimes everything seems to be thrown at us all at once but you will grt through it.

same here. Was a relief and now know what to look out for. It was worrying though. It's hard to tell what is what sometimes.

Well done for keeping your head and getting this sorted quickly. Have they prescribed anything?These are a scary symptom.

No special prescription but the A&E doctor said we should keep Buscopan in. The hospital told me what it was but not why it was that. So many people came back having had the same, you would think to save visits to hospital they would give us gastric coated tablets in the first place. Regards to all readers
