Well, I have been off prednisone since last Friday requested by my pcp. Saturday I was ok Sunday a little worse and now Monday it was the worst day ever since I started having symptoms. Today is better than yesterday but the muscles are so weak and it still hurts to sit or stand up. Today the shoulders are worse. I hope I can make it to Friday when I see the rheumatoid doctor.

Sounds like the PMR is still hanging around and you need to restart taking it sadly. Do you have any pred left so you could start a small dose before Friday?
I have 20’s but afraid the rheumatoid doctor can’t make a diagnosis while I am on it
What is the rheumatologist trying to diagnose?
PMR. My pcp said that the specialists will need to handle the dosing of steriods. Must be something they are not comfortable handling. So really they won’t even diagnose it.
I had a quick look at your first post and really do agree with the others. I would be suffering, we all would be suffering, with such a quick reduction. I expect your doctor wanted the Rheumatologist to be able to diagnose you without the masking effect of steroids. I am afraid that this has just landed you back at the beginning. The remedy is to go back to the start dose and be careful, pacing your activities. It is not fair to leave you in such pain when anything that could be gleaned from blood tests is already spoiled.
