Brain fog

I think I surpassed my self today by pouring orange juice into my coffee instead of milk.

Do hope the fog lifts later as I'm scheduled to do Christmas baking today; if it doesn't there could be some interesting results.

Happy Christmas to everybody.

Just had a big smile regarding your post. 😊😊. We all do it I’m afraid. Two people tell me they have had 2 Christmas cards from me. 🙄🙄. Should have waited til the fog lifted before doing the cards. A Merry Christmas to everyone.......twice over!

Liz.

We have a page of printed address labels - you notice if you try to send 2 cards to one person!

Know the feeling! I decided I deserved a brandy and soda with lots of ice the other evening. Sipped and was knocked back by the yukky taste. I had diluted the brandy with tonic water! Drink down the drain, I didn't attempt another.

So glad you shared. Yesterday a woman told me something and two minutes later I asked her a dump question as if I paid no attention to what she said! It bothered me because she probably thinks I have dementia when I pray it was simply Pred head and the pains in the back of my head that reappeared when decreasing to 15 mg! I hate feeling stupid!

My brain , in fact my whole body seems to be in A fog today so my cakes will wait till tomorrow as I dread the outcome if I do them today x

My sister is sending me same text everyday reminding me what I have to take to her house over Holidays. I just know I will forget something...hope it's not the dog.

I really hope it’s not still there when we are all better, it really is my” go too“excuse. I may actually just be a dozy date. Seasons Greetings!

I have had two Christmas cards each from a couple of people and my nephew sent me a card meant for his grandmother and he is only just thirty!! Someone else sent me a card to herself.

I made my Christmas cake a few weeks ago. Everything was going well and my husband always mixes in the fruit for me. The mixture seemed a bit stiff but we were ready to put it in the tin when I turned round to find half the egg mixture still sitting on the counter. Panic! Never mind I just added the egg at the end and baked it. I marzipanned it the other day and iced it today.

Talk about brain fog!!!

My mother's foggy bit was putting cylinder vacuum in bin instead of emptying it. I just thought it was a form of protest looking after family of 6. 😂

Ah yes! I was meeting a group of friends in a restaurant two weeks ago for a Christmas catch-up. I arrived a bit early and it appeared the restaurant had lost the booking. But they moved some tables around and were very apologetic. I sat and waited for about half an hour then texted one of my friends asking where she was...yep , you guessed it... got a text back saying it’s not until next week!

So embarrassing. The waitress had a good laugh.

Three of us were scheduled to have dinner on the 22nd. Two of us showed up on the 21st. I was one of the two on the wrong day. At first we couldn't imagine two of three being wrong, but the texts in my phone were very clear.

Luckily the third was able to join us and we dined a day early.

I seem to be doing the Pred thing backwards. More foggy now than at 20 or 15 or even 9. (I'm at 8 tapering to 7 with 🤞). More difficulty sleeping now too. Go figure.

😂😂😂 sorry for laughing but it's more from relief that I am not alone. I have to put everything on my phone calendar so it beeps at me. I alwayalways set alarms for 1 week, 1 day, 3 hours, 1 hour and 10mins for appointments or meetings. New meds are put on daily alarm until they make it into rotation fully...whether in pill box or packet. It's all good fun!

Partly needing a return of adrenal function I suspect.

PMRpro. I hope that's all that is going. I really did feel sharper on higher doses of Pred. Memory and old skills, like reading Hebrew....surprised me. I am feeling a bit like a patient in Awakenings. Slowly slipping back. Better in the mornings, but less so by end of day.

Ah well. It will be what it will be. 😌

A lot of the alternative sites about adrenal fatigue include such symptoms as typical of adrenal insufficiency. A lot of them are guff - but the entire constellation of low adrenal function is likely to lead to poor executive function etc. Have you tried a few days of more pred to see if it improves how you feel/perform?
