I haven't heard about Olive Leaf extract but I like olives more than I used to and have fish oil and turmeric in my diet. I hope your thinking about supplements/ diet means you are doing well. I tend to be managing well when I am thinking that way.

I'm doing better by accepting whats going on instead of raging against it, learning to not do too much on a good day...I still do though...and learning new stuff every day by reading on here and elsewhere on the web....not too much though..at first its all I did was worry and try to read about what it could be and what was going on...still got bad days, seems like every fourth day for some reason, but like someone on here said, "shrug"...haha...easier said than done sometimes but I'm learning...trying to eat well too seems to help...

This all sounds good. It is hard at first, you catch on fast

I wonder why every 4th day - does your stamina run out?

Maybe plan a gentle treat for yourself every 4 th day. A feet up watch the sport day, a gentle swim, a beer?

A lamb tagine with plenty of turmeric.

Whatever floats your boat.

There was a programme on radio a while back saying that you were much better using the normal powdered variety of turmeric or fresh than buying supplements.

maybe be true but a really good quality like Organic India or Gaia is fine with me and much much easier...I also drink Tulsi holy basil tea with turmeric...good stuff...if your gonna buy cheap junky supplements then forget it...wasting your money...

I had a great experience with Tulsi having planted what purported to be bog standard basil seeds -part of a bargain pack of organic seeds- and up came a much larger basil, with a beautiful flavour which goes wonderfully in veggie curries and stews. A friend identified it as Tulsi (holy basil) and we have taken cuttings. Health benefits are a bonus.

Hello,

I buy turmeric root by the lb. in the super and juice it along with ginger root. Makes about a quart of juice and I drink it over a weeks time-must be kept in the fridge. A wonderful tonic and I'm sure it helps keep the inflammation down. Capsules or tea are not strong enough.

Sounds a fantastic idea. I am not sure where you get fresh turmeric around me so use the powdered one at the moment, but fresh turmeric sounds much better.

Would you believe S'burys lists it? Otherwise - Asian stores you would think?

Good heavens, Sainsbury dragging itself up to the multi national level.

Just checked the Waitrose website and they are selling turmeric yogurt!

Hmmm - not sure about that!!!!!!

Asian stores should definitely have in their produce dept. as small as they usually are. Nothing like this tonic once a day. Once you do it, please let me know as I can tell you how to extract even more turmeric and ginger out of the pulp.

My son drinks Pukka Green tea with Matcha and swears by its energy giving properties. Might work for us.

We play Scrabble, my youngest son, hubby and I. Usually can wander off and wash the dishes or do my yoga or something when hubby takes his turn. This week he was so fast, and would have won if son hadn't managed a seven letter word. He said it was the Pukka three ginger tea he was drinking! I'm going to tell him we're all out next week. ;)
