If only - but it is a bit far!!!
I can really recommend anyone who can going - Sarah Mackie is a terrific doctor, especially for PMR!!! I have just discovered she has a Twitter account - I might even sign up to follow her!
I would so love to go to this event. I was brought up in Edinburgh and I know exactly where it is. Dr Mackie is fabulous. Lucky you Edinburgh folk.
I am in Sheffield and on call for the possible early delivery of another grandson, otherwise I'd be tempted to travel.
You didn't go to James Gillespies did you Sara?
My parents moved to Birmingham when I was 13 and I never really got over losing my friends and Edinburgh. We are all this sort of age now.
Sorry, good luck with the event!!!
Thanks for getting in touch Eileen and Jane. Wish you both could travel to Edinburgh - it's right beside Haymarket station. Jane, I didn't go to Gillespies but my mum did, before the war, at the same time as Muriel Spark who based The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie on the school. Small world!
Bit far from Italy I fear! Say hi to Sarah from me - I last saw her in Whistler at the OMERACT conference, I'm a patient research partner so was there with Lorna too.
That is amazing! I knew about the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie connection with the school. Shocked to hear they let BOYS in now ha ha. It was a very strict school, I still have beautiful manners.
If it wasn't for the possibility of the baby, I think I'd come. I need a regular fix of my old home town. I lived in New Town, Rothesay Place. I dream about it often.
