My daughter of 35 is just been told that her baby died in the womb at 12 weeks pregnancy . She is devastated and I am shocked as the doctor said they found big fibroids size of a grapefruit inside her while having a scan . She had pelvic pains but no bleeding . Can anyone help me with this strange dilemma. Now the hospital taking her to remove her foetus is this normal ?

Yes I had fibroids during my pregnancy the size of eggs.
I'm surprised she had no bleeding as I bleed in my first trimester.
Years later I had my womb removed as the fibroids were getting bigger.
So sorry for your daughter, that's horrible for both of you. I hope she will be better soon.
Sorry for her loss and yours 💔. It is so difficult. Depending on the size and location, some fibroids won’t affect a pregnancy and some do. I would advise her to speak to her Doctor and see if they will affect her fertility/future pregnancies and if so, have them removed before she tries again/if she would like to try again. I have numerous large fibroids but have been told that they shouldn’t affect a pregnancy!
It is better to do this quickly as Doctors advise you to wait at least 3 months after that type of surgery before getting pregnant again. There are lots of support groups that can help her through this difficult time and she can also get a pregnancy loss certificate to keep to mark her loss (only if you think that this would be appropriate). She can order one for free at gov.uk/request-baby-loss-ce.... Sorry again for your loss.
