Hi all My 18 year old daughter has been suffering chronic pelvic pain, constant diarrhea, barely eating as she feels so sick. We have had 3 visits to the hospital in 4 months. First time an abscess on her fallopian tube was found. Treated with antibiotics. 2nd time a UTI. Now they are saying its something called Pelvic Conjestion Syndrome
we are awaiting an appointment with gyne. Has anyone heard if this or have any experience if it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello — I was diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion. I am curious as to how she was diagnosed. I had to have an invasive veinogram to determine how congested my iliac veins were. My left was 75% blocked, my right was 25%. I had stents placed last year, hoping for some relief. I did not get an ounce of relief. I do have other issues going on as well — but it was disappointing. Plus? I have to be on blood thinners for at least another year. Makes getting injections for my other issues challenging, many drs will not touch me until I’m off of them completely.
Here is what does give me temporary relief: Epsom salt baths, pelvic physical therapy, dry needling, cupping, not sitting for longer than 30 min at a time, walking in 20 min spurts. I am on some meds, like cymbalta and gabapenten — I think I’d be even worse off if I came off them, even though I don’t feel like they are doing much.
I have suffered CPP for 5 years and still going through tests, now diagnosed with a Lipoma tumor down left near the sigmoid colon which has diverticular disease and a hernia on opposite side down right, I had a major radical hysterectomy in Feb 2018,, after having large fibroids, I'm in Australia and now 64, I was also checked for pelvic congestion syndrome, but came to a nil finding, It is also very hard to diagnose. You need to see a Vascular Specialist for this, and they will scan veins to see if there is congestion of large veins in the abdomen, there is plenty of study and advice available on the internet. You just have to keep ruling things out bit by bit, best wishes from down under
