I thought I'd post this separate from the thread by hoopwhirl2007. Here is a very comprehensive article even though it's from 2010. I see a gyno specialist who is very well regarded and I'm not sure if she is aware of the possibilities. I sent this to her today, along with a request for her to order an MRI according to the guidelines at the Tarlov Cyst Disease Foundation.
Thank you very much for the information, after having the MRI nothing was explained to me about the Tarlov cysts.I had originally been sent by a neurologist for the test because the sensory nerves in my legs are burning and it also showed degenerative disc disease. It all makes sense now
My MRIs showed a small Tarlov Cyst. I contacted Dr Frank Feigenbaum's office in Dallas, TX. He is one of the world's best TC surgeons and he offers free phone and in person consults to help determine if your TC is a problem. He thinks my pain is coming from my spine, not the TC. If you thing your cyst may be involved go to the Tarlov Cyst Disease Foundation and read up on it.tarlovcystfoundation.org/
