has anyone else experienced this?

hello everyone! I wanted to post here and ask if anyone has had a similar experience to mine. I have been having severe pelvic pain for about 3 years in total. It has gotten much more intense as time has gone on. If I had to describe the pain, it feels like extremely painful menstrual cramps. They happen after intercourse, with or without orgasm. They also happen after I urinate or have a bowel movement for about 15 minutes after. I have utilized a pelvic floor wand from intimate rose and that has not helped. I have also tried relaxation therapy and that hasn’t helped much either. I have seen 4 separate physicians for this problem. I’ve had 2 vaginal ultrasounds that were fairly unremarkable. The last one I had (Nov 2022) showed 2 very small cysts in my uterus but my gynecologist assured me that those are too small to be the cause of my problems. My gynecologist also recommended an IUD, which was inserted that same month and has not helped. I wanted to ask you all because you struggle with pelvic pain as well. I’m very desperate for answers. It has been severely impacting my day to day life for about a year now. Any tips would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi LauraD1998, do you suffer with UTI's? Or have you had one just prior or during this pain. There could be a possibility that you have one & it has gone undiagnosed. I would suggest you have your urine tested for infection. Speak to your doctor regarding this, possibly consider seeing a urologist. If an infection is found it is important that you get a longer course of antibiotics. The short courses of 3 or 5 day's will not be enough so insist you get a longer course. Do some online research regarding UTI's, especially regarding embedded UTI.

If you can be certain you don't have a UTI that is causing the pain you could try acupuncture. I'm currently having success with it for my pelvic pain. I do suffer with UTI's though so am currently on antibiotics.

It's also important to keep a check on your stress levels, it's very easy to let anxiety creep in & this will only exacerbate your symptoms.

I hope you find some answers & get some relief from the pain, I know what it's like I've been in constant pain for 2 years ☺️

Sorry I forgot to mention, depending on your age it could be a lack of oestrogen. I've read that many women have tried an oestrogen cream that has helped them. Just a thought as I'm not sure how old you are but I've read some women begin this in their 30's. It could be worth considering.

hi. I just read this and honestly questioned whether I wrote it in my sleep :)

I’m 48 and have had same sensations since April 2020- almost 3 years! It started out with a bladder/ rectal pressure and as time went on and I opted for endometriosis surgery and hysterectomy, my symptoms escalated into Renal Nutcracker ( which was the causes of my pelvic congestion). I have seen over 50 Drs, trialed meds, done pelvic floor pt several rounds- and I am even worse off today. Medical science does t have the answer for me just yet. Let me know how you do. Good luck.

hi! Thank you so much for replying. If you don’t mind me asking, what were the results of your endometriosis testing? I’ve often wondered if endo was causing my pain as well. Thank you!

it was useless… I had endometriosis removal through a laparoscopy surgery- I had endo- and it was “removed” but it didn’t help me at all… just because they find endo doesn’t mean it’s the source of your pain..

I was going to suggest endometriosis. Maybe you need a laparoscopy?
