You poor thing! I am sorry to hear that! Did your doctors recommend any treatment?

I have had ovarian cysts show up on ultrasounds, a lot of the time they do resolve on their own. Fingers crossed for you for an easy recovery!

The ring of fire sign, also known as ring of vascularity, signifies a hypervascular lesion with peripheral vascularity on color or pulsed Doppler examination of the adnexa due to low impedance high diastolic flow.

It can show up with corpus leuteum cysts and ectopic pregnancies.

What it is saying is there is a lesion/cysts that show up on the test they gave you. Ring of fire is like a nickname of the pattern they see on the test. Sounds like you have 2cm corpus luteum cysts. I had those as well, when I was young. They are very painful, or can be very painful. Mine used to keep growing until they exploded. This happens when the egg is released and the letuem is supposed to break free, but doesn't. Then fluid leaks into the cyst causing it to enlarge. It is usually when the luteum (the sheath around the egg) is thicker than normal. I hope this helps!
