Passing out from period pain

Hi,

I am new to this group! I have always struggled with bad period pains and last year after many years of being told to 'grin and bear it' had keyhole surgery to investigate for endometriosis. I was told there was no evidence of it, although from previous internal camera investigations, I was told there was evidence of it. I am past the point of expecting clear responses from medical professionals, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced period/pelvic pain so badly that they ended up passing out? I can feel myself going, going from intense pelvic pain, to not being able to walk, to having to sit down as my head get foggy and I gradually pass out. This has happened on more than one occasion and has been witnessed by friends.

Has anyone experienced this and have any solutions other than the very helpful info from doctors to just take painkillers?

Does anyone else suffer from this? I work for an independent film company and am in process of putting a pitch together for an Endo/Period pain doc so would be pleased to talk to anyone who is happy to talk to me - in any related matters!

I am past the menstrual age but have passed out with pain for several other reasons.when pregnant baby pressed on nerve and I passed out serving a customer. Felt ill on holiday and knocked myself unconscious on hard bathroom floor after passing out.Trapped thumb in car door too ,having tooth extracted ,and latest I tore ligament in knee and passed out.Thought I was just a lightweight🤣 I find it embarrassing as it’s always in front of other people.I really don’t know the answer but as you say you know that you are going to pass out.My worst was in hospital waiting room before a planned procedure but that really was because I had been told to omit certain medications evening and night before.Yours is from period pain so you know that your pain is increasing and will result in passing out whereas mine is not so strong painkillers could be your answer.have you tried a heat bad on your back . You can place these on top of clothing They are by Sure health

Hello Dogsandtea3

I suffered from endometriosis for decades. I was wondering if possibly you have heavy bleeding during your periods, and if so maybe you should take your blood pressure when this starts to happen. It could be that your blood pressure is very low and it's making you pass out. Blood pressure monitors are not expensive. Low blood pressure will make you pass out. Also sometimes in the lower intestine you can get bad bacteria which causes a lot of abdominal pain down there in the pelvic area also makes a little bit difficult to walk because of the pain so check and see if you've got any kind of bacterial growth in your small intestine. But I would check your blood pressure good luck

my wife had endometriosis and it required a hysterectomy to get her pain resolved. I hope this helps and God Bless.

I experience pain but just take ibuprofen and paracetamol l am also using some patches that were recommended to me at the pharmacy in boots which help, they are called monthly patches are natural ingredients and last for 12 hours they are discreet and comfortable and you get 5 in a pack. I have never passed out with the pain.
