Bladder problem

I have been told by the GP that I have a slight prolapse of the bladder. I have constant soreness in the urethra area. Especially when I have just had a wee. I can feel soft fleshy lumps in the virgina. I have had a couple of courses of antibiotics for a bladder infection which makes the soreness and pain worse. Nothing seems to take the soreness away. GP has referred me to a Urologist . I hope I won't have to wait long. Its very depressing 😞

Yea it does get u down as it’s such a sensitive part of your body, physio can sometimes help or a pessary can be fitted to help to. X

Hello,I totally agree with you. I have been prescribed an oestrogen pessary which I take vaginally twice a week… it’s been a game changer for me whilst I await surgery.

Hope you get yourself sorted soon

If you can see a uro gyn…they specialize in prolapse and bladder issues

I also had terrible pain for months in the genital area after taking 2 different types of antibiotics for a UTI. It turns out I was allergic to the antibiotics. :( I tried taking ibruprofen to relieve the pain and it made the symptoms way worse. The only thing I could take was paracetamol and an anti-spasm medication to be able to sleep, and to drink lots and lots of water. The pain lasted for about 6 months afterwards then gradually started to go away. I now have a prolapse, which I think was caused by the mess the antibiotics did to me. I'm about to get a pessary fitted, and I can't wait!

Hi yes pessaries are great. At the moment they are impossible to get where l live anyway. I have a prescription at the chemist been there since end of January. A lovely kind lady got me one from her chemist and sent it to me. It was in stock there. There are some wonderful kind caring people in this world. I am wondering if the lack of pessaries is common throughout England at present. I went to about 15 chemists and none of them said they could get the ring pessary. All said it had to be ordered and they couldn't get it. I dont know why as last year there wasn't a problem. My chemist says they are on back order? Let me know if you manage to get yours on prescription please? I worry for the future if ladies are unable to get them on their doctors prescription.

I'll let you know. I live in France, so I'll see if things are different here. I have my appointment in a week.
