Prolapse

I had a bladder and bowel prolapse op. 10 weeks ago and my consultant said it was a complete success. However I still feel very uncomfortable when sitting and have had to revert to using a prolapse cushion. Has anyone else experienced my problem. I’d be grateful if anyone could help.

It takes awhile for all the tissues to settle down after the trauma. 10 weeks is early days. Be patient and don't rush your recovery you will get there. I am same age as you and now walking several kn per day and totally pain free. Although even now I get a soreness if I overdo it and am on my feet too long. Listen to your body and rest as much as possible. Get exercise by walking short distances often. Best wishes for your recovery .

I had the same surgery and it was about 4 months before I was pain free. It just takes time to heal.

Thankyou - that's reassured me as I'm having a bad day today. I'm fine when I get up and then after sitting down the discomfort starts. I'm ok walking it's just sitting but no sign of another prolapse.
