I have been taking this medication at a low dose 20 mg for a few months and it really helps me get to sleep and stay asleep with pain. My advice is titrate up slowly so that you can monitor its affect on your body. Good luck.

I've been taking it for 4 months 20mg as well, due to damaged nerves. Works well. Hope it works for you.

I take 100mg a night so a much higher dose than the others. I was previously on amitriptyline. I have not noticed any additional tiredness/grogginess since changing over and I think it’s helping. I get a lot of tiredness during the day due to ME, fibro, endometriosis, other medications, and poor sleep so it’s a little hard for me to separate out the causes/symptoms. But, like I said, I haven’t noticed changes to that since starting nortripyline. Perhaps because I started on a lower dose and gradually increased.Good luck, I hope it works well for you,
