That can happen if you eat or drink certain thinks that can cause inflammation. I was diagnosed as having possible Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which means when you eat or drink certain things within the ‘L’ food and drink group it can cause your mast cells to go into overdrive and cause inflammation in your body. With MCAS you can come out in a rash or hives (most commonly on the area you mention) and can cause your bladder or bowel to become inflamed, which in turn causes your pelvic floor muscles to tighten and create pain.
Taking antihistamines can help but the ones you buy over the counter aren’t really the best ones to buy. Best ones are the H1 blockers you can get on prescription, like Rupatadine or the new ones I’m now on called Zatiten. The best thing to do though is to follow the exclusion diet first, to rule out what is causing the inflammation in the first place. I had to go on this strict diet for 2 months and then slowly introduce the foods and drinks I’d excluded back into my diet one by one. The Professor I’m under for this at St Mary’s Hospital, London put me on it. It’s very hard to do but worth it.
Bonus was I lost a heap of weight on it 😊
I found that my main issues in the end were shellfish, eggs and citrus fruit.
Maybe worth looking into for you. Not sure what or where your pain symptoms are?
