Tramadol and skin problems

I am taking Tramadol for fibromyalgia pains, and supported it well. But now I have suddenly very soar skin eruptions. They are mainly on the rump and the back. The skin breaks open in stripes, are red or also a bit blue where blood vessels start to be affected. I used to suffer from idiopathic Urticaria, but that has healed very well and was 4 years ago. It warranted a two week hospital stay at the time.

This is different though, the lesions are red lines, and are soar. Could I have developed an intolerance to Tramadol?

Hope someone can help, I am rather weak at the moment and bedridden with Fibro.

Many thanks, your yodelgirl

I’m sorry I’ve never experienced that with tramadol, I really don’t notice anything with tramadol, just when I stop it for a few days my pain increases but I do this as I dont want ti become intolerant. Sorry I can help about that side effect

Take care Sheena

I think you are right - it is not Tramadol that is causing this. I just had no other explanation. Spoke to nurse today who looked at it and convincingly the the cause in something else. Thank you for answering, it helps and I do appreciate that you took the time. Thanks a lot and take care. Yodelgirl1234

I am SO sorry you are having these issues. The symptoms sound very scary. I have been taking Tramadol for many years and never had any problems. I hope your doctor can help you find what is causing it!
