Pain when aroused??

Hi people:)

Bit of an odd one but after years of thinking this was normal until recently and hours of googling I need some kind of guidance because I am stumped and getting a dr appointment at the mo is impossible.

I get severe pain in my left side between the inner edge of my bum and the start of my pubic bone. Sort of bang in the middle right inside the muscle? where It's like being stabbed and squeezed and a pressure all at once.. weird thing is..it only happens when I'm aroused. It doesn't stop during sex meaning I cant fully enjoy myself and it's there a good while after. I've looked at multiple articles but nothing seems to fit..

Any help would be fab.

Thanks:)

Hi

I don’t know if you have other symptoms with periods or not, and pain varies enormously, have you considered endometriosis in your research. I would hope it isn’t, but thought I’d mention it.

My periods are normal, I have bad cramps but this pain isnt in my lower abdomen it's strange.. it's like a needle stabbing on the outside of my perineum but on the left..I have no symptoms during my cycle, I did consider endometriosis but the symptoms dont match...its literally only when aroused.

Maybe ask GP for a gynae referral, you shouldn’t be in pain.

You might have to insist, depends on your GP.

Hope you get it sorted soon 🙂

Pudendal nerve? It controls the inner action of the genital area and if irritated it tends to cause pain on one side. You could try consulting a specialist physio who will treat tense muscles in the area and muscles in the top of legs.

Sounds very much what l suffer with but mine is after l orgasm the better the more pain. Do u get a pressure in rectum have any pelvic pain after.

I am a long time suffer of pelvic pain. I have suffered since the young age of 27, but it was not until my husband died of 33,years that l was not in a sexualy relationship that l had no pain.

I married again l started to get pain!!

Unfortunately l am 63 year's Still fighting this pain the Drs have been horrendous with me.

Last year l demanded a CT scan which was not conclusive of anything but Dr sent me for a MRI after a very long wait said that it was probably scar tissue on my vagina vault so they said that they wanted to do laparoscope to have a good investigation, plus give me a steroid injection on my vagina to help with pain I had my injection but not my Lap as the sergeon bullied me into not having the laparoscope by giving me all the gorey details of risks was very unprofessional, so there was no way l was going to let him do the Lap with his attitude as well he told me that if the injection works send him a Christmas card!!

So l am waiting for the out come and hopefully get another Lap.

Have reported him to Pals.

So far so good l have not experienced any pain after sex. Still have my pelvic pain.

Sorry hope l have help in some way.

I am still very traumatised by it all.

My advice to you is ask for scans.

Please feel free to private message me l would like to know more about you? 😁

I also have severe pain when aroused, especially after climaxing, it’s so severe I need to take my 30/500 cocodamol afterwards, yet other than an anterior wall prolapse (which I was diagnosed with last year), I have no idea what it is.

I’ve dealt with it for over six years now, it’s completely killed my sex life and I daren’t even touch myself anymore.
