Hi-You have to find a compounding pharmacy in your area that will make a suppository for you. Valium usually comes in a pill and some GYNO’s will have you insert a pill.. I do not feel comfortable with that nor do I think it absorbs well and probably will be less effective if at all absorbed. When I had mine compounded I should of had lidocaine or something soothing added...Like lidocaine and or aloe.?So once you have found the pharmacy you have to call your OBGYN back and she can right a script and or fax it over with the ingredients you two agree upon.

I just started on a suppository taken vaginally recently as prescribed by my GYN who is a pelvic floor pain specialist. I get mine from a compounding pharmacy and it contains 3 drugs. Valium/Baclofen/Ketamine. She started me out with a dosage of Valium 5/Baclofen 4 and Ketamine 15mg. That didn't do it for me so it was raised from there to 8/8/15mg. I think it just takes the edge off a little. I can do one every 12 hours, but I just do 1 a day and cruise at night, unless I have to sit a lot for some reason. I guess the type of drugs in your suppository would vary depending on what is going on with you. I have nerve pain that manifests while sitting in my rectum.

Spastic Pelvic Floor Syndrome and they know the pudendal nerve is an issue, but don't know to what extent. I also take Gabapentin orally. I am doing Pelvic PT. Just started about 2 months ago. It took 10 years to get here and finally this year got this diagnosis. Does the muscle relaxant help. What do you take? I am currently considering doing Boxtox even though my insurance won't cover. Just so tired of the pain!!

Yes the cyclobenzaprine helps a lot and the 5 mg dose doesn't make me tired all..does the gabapentin help you?
