I can't find any doctor who will prescribe vaginal valium (LA/TX area)

In 2015 I was diagnosed with PFD. Through physical therapy and vaginal valium my pain disappeared really fast and I became a completely normal person.

It's back after a few nights of relentless vomiting, and my doctor moved. Now no one will follow the treatments he prescribed for me. I mention the word valium and its instantly shut down and the appointment ends. I have medical records inches thick detailing my issue and the prescriptions that I was on, but no one cares. I'm in physical therapy again, but I cannot release these muscles without help. All they have been prescribing me is stuff for urinary spasms which keep giving UTIs from retention, makes me groggy, and makes my mouth dry. Valium did none of that.

It's driving me mad that I know exactly what I need to get better and none of them will provide it. To make matters worse, I'm on medicaid now and cannot self pay anywhere or else it'd be medicaid fraud so I'm stuck with the worst, non-specialist doctors. I may be able to self pay in Texas.. if anyone has a good doctor in either state who is familiar with hyper-tonic pelvic floor muscles please let me know. None of mine will work with my physical therapist's suggestion of compounded valium/lidocaine.

I have a doctor in New Jersey who prescribed it for me. I can give you the name, but I know that probably won't help you.

Yes, very far from me. I keep hearing about all these great doctors in the northeast. I basically live in the Gulf of Mexico.. Thank you, though.

Good news! I talked to my PCP who agreed to work with my physical therapist on recommendations!

I have used baclofen with much success. It’s similar to vaginal Valium but not a controlled substance. It was suggested to me by my physiatrist. I would recommend exploring that doctor as an option. Mine works with the gynecology department at a hospital so she knows her stuff. PCPs and other docs may not get it. Hang in there!
