Hi everyone not been on for some time as I have been so much pain, well I was at my fourth hospital last week and the Dr I seen was very nice I have to go for a MRI scan and then I have to get local anesthetic injection into the nerve and she also said that I have to stay in the hospital for 30 minutes after the injection and I have to bring someone with me that can drive me home, I also got a appointment to go and see her on September so I don’t know if the appointment I got today is for the MRI scan but I don’t think so as it would probably say on it, I was want to know if anybody on here has had this done and if it helped them thanks in advance

MRI`s are not that great for seeing nerve damage, had 3 over 8 years, They showed 3 bulging discs, but reports no nerve compression is seen, MR Neurography now that's a different ball game, Also known as either magnetic resonance neurography or MRN, is a type of MRI that shows clearly what’s going on with your nerves. It was first developed in the early 1990s, and since then numerous studies have been done that attest to its ability to help doctors truly see the condition of nerves.I far as I know there's only two in the UK London area
