Hi all...has anyone had Botox and did it help?

Had botox and worked for obturator internus initiated tailbone pain which prevented me from sleeping on my back. Obviously comes down to knowing exactly which muscle is causing your problem-had one doctor inject my “pelvic floor muscles” which did nothing. This was nonsense from the get-go -You can’t treat the entire pelvic floor but I hear of other doctors doing the same thing. My suggestion is to spend a lot of time discussing which muscle to inject and why. There can be side effects-I could not ejaculate for 6 months because my “pelvic floor injection “ was able to hit those muscles without hitting the muscles causing all my problems

If the problem is increased tone in a muscle Botox will work. It has little side effect (transient incontinence if injected into anal sphincter and in high dosage makes you feel flu like. It won’t affect your autonomic nerves and affect potency, ejaculatuon. It only lasts for 3 months.

I have heard if you get it 3 consecutive times every few months it will eventually be curative?

If it works for 3 months it’s worth repeating if pain comes back . If it doesn’t work no. If it works it works.
