Pelvic physio pain

Hi,

Has anyone been left with excruciating pain post physio?

I have had numerous surgeries for endometriosis, the most recent leaving me with a new sharp right side pain. I am currently awaiting another op to investigate this.

Today I had pelvic physio under a different health board. They seem convinced that my issues are all down to my pelvic floor being tense and today did an internal to try to “stretch” this.

It was absolute agony and she couldn’t finished. She then went on to talk about painful sex which I kept telling her is something I do not struggle with.

Unfortunately I’ve been in agony since (9am) especially in this right-side pain area. To me it does not seem right to be bed ridden for the whole day following this?

They expect me to do more but I feel pessimistic about it if 1) they can’t even finish and 2) if I still have endo pulling everything out of whack.

Hi! First off I hope you feel better soon. I personally understand. Here is just my take after A lot of physio. It is a skill that opens up tissue muscles and the related area nerves etc

Stretching only releases muscle, not bands, trigger points or adhesions. For those you need a physio trainer. iPA advanced certified and background in pelvic. You also want to start clear of factories where practioners are exhausted and looking to help as a quick fix or unable to see you as a person and not just a number.

Physio can be unbearable for a lot of reasons. Most of which include restricted nerves. Pelvic Acupuncture, Pelvic Dry Needling, and Ultrasound guided medical injections work through all the tissue much faster but muscle adhesions and deep tissue trigger points are hardest to find and even harder to find someone who can release these if you happen to have them. A practitioner for this most likely would be advanced IPA trained and a pelvic physio expert.

Finding the cause is important then you can treat it.

Tight Muscles, Layers of Fascia ( the thin white film and there are a few) tight Muscle Adhesions tiny sharp glass like even to the physics touch.

I hope it helps even a little

I suppose that could explain why I am in so much pain?

I am awaiting a further op with my specialist, who is in the next town over. I’ve had sharp right side pain since a bowel op last year and they want to investigate (so there’s a huge potential of adhesions).

In the meantime I am under a pain team in my local hospital which is where the physio comes in. Since day one they have tried to talk me out of further surgery and got a lot of little facts wrong. They seem to think it is only right muscle and the physio kept saying this is why I am having painful sex even though I kept telling her I don’t! My main complaint is this right side pain which they don’t seem to be addressing. I am sure that what they say does make sense for pelvic tightness however I think they are underestimating my complaint and what could potentially be going on (or more endo/adhesions)
