MRI and CT scan???

Hiya, I hope everyone is as pain free as possible. Just a quick question - how many of you ladies have had an MRI or CT scan to help with the diagnosis and how deep endo is to enable their treatment plan? Thanks xx

I had the same. The OBGYN said that is likely the cause of my pelvic and hip pain. I got the cortisone shot into the hip and the pain went away a week later. For a glorious few days I had ZERO pain, then after that I've had a few flare ups but with PT and weight loss things seem to be getting better. May still need surgery. Still, I went from a 10 the night before the surgery, to where I was in my bed drifting in and out of consciousness the pain was so bad praying the muscle relaxants would just take the edge off, to walking around at the mall the same day I had the shot (they give you an anesthetic with the injection so until that wore off I was in HEAVEN). I am STILL shocked at how much pain a labral tear can cause. I don't know why they don't check for this with all women who have been pregnant and have pelvic pain. Labral tears are incredibly common in women and according to my OBGYN (who specializes in Pelvic Pain, so blessed to have him) it's not uncommon for women to present with pelvic pain but no hip pain when they have a labral tear in their hip. Months of CT Scans, Ultrasounds, Contraceptive Pills, Colonoscopies, 2 obgyns and 2 pelvic floor therapists... nothing. Finally one of the PTs says, your hip is really bad. Uhm, ok, yeah, I'm overweight, what do you expect. She says no, I mean like horrible. You should get it checked. So, one lousy Ortho Dr visit and literally 5 minutes in we had a diagnosis. Switched OBGYNs again and now, FINALLY, I have a diagnosis. Now, to lose weight and do my PT to see if that won't help me get rid of the pain without surgery. If not, to the OR I go. I do not mind the surgery as we have a really awesome Dr here in Atlanta who does these arthroscopically. Still, if I can avoid it I will. Not to mention the recovery is no picnic! Sorry for the long reply, just so "excited" to find someone else who had this as well. Hope you found relief!
