Hi, did your Doctor refer you to the pain management clinic in your area. If not ask your GP to refer you to be assessed and then most likely you will need to have injections under CT guidance to reduce the inflammation around the pudendal nerve. The injection is a combination of local anaesthetic and cortisone. You may need to go regularly to have these injections. if that is the case ask the pain management Doctor to make a plan as to how often you need to have repeat injections. I also advise you to go to pudendalhope.org to learn more and understand pudendal neuralgia. All the best and contact us again if you need further advise.
hi
i have had this pain for over 4 years now, this might sound strange but you do get used to the pain a certain amount and you do learn to live with it.
you take each day as it comes, still looking for ways to relieve the pain and you dont give in, but you cant look backwards, its no good to do that, it just makes you more miserable.
you will have good and bad days and you will cope with it, you have to and maybe somewhere along the way you will hopefully find a way to go forward

Hi, which country are you living in. What are their pain management services like. How helpful has your GP been to help you get access to specialists for medical imaging?
If everything else has been ruled out via MRIs, colonoscopy etc...Next step would be to see a pain specialist and pelvic floor physiotherapist.
Sometimes I think it's safer to get the pain under control with meds, then put yourself through multiple procedures trying to fix the damage that's already been done.
I've tried things such as Botox, pulsed RF, epidural injections.....Most of them just flared my symptoms.
