Anyone still experience spd? Would love to hear from you?
Spd after pregnancy ?: Anyone still... - Pelvic Pain Suppo...
Spd after pregnancy ?
yes, I am still suffering with spd now called pelvic girdle dysfunction. I have had it since 7 months pregnant ( aug 2014), I have now had this 24-7 for 18 months.
It has left me disabled. my mobility is very poor, I use a walking frame, and stick to get about. I can bearly bend anymore, and pick up my little girl. I have a care package support from the adult social care, which enables me to employ a personal assistant/carer through the direct payment scheme.
my emotional and physical health is the worst its ever been.
Sorry to hear this... Mine comes and goes, so can't imagine what u must be going through. I'm being sent for an x Ray as my hip clicks when I walk... Did u have an x Ray?
yes at the beginning for 3 months my pelvis was clicking/grinding, it sounded terrible, and made me feel sick hearing it. I couldn't walk for 4 months, I barely left the house , only to go to health appointments . i couldn't stand without feeling totally dizzy, and if I stood for more than a few seconds I fell backwards, my GP, DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR ME ! just kept giving me different pain relief to try, but nothing ever worked, I just needed total bed rest, but was impossible with a new born. He referred me for a MRI SCAN, but nothing showed, they put it down to nerve/muscle pain. Looking back now, I cant believe how I got through the worst of it, it made me very depressed, I didn't want to go on , and I felt my children were better off without me. I am walking better now, but still have problems doing any lifting and bending, I am exhausted all the time, I crave a normal life again.
get an adults occupational therapist assessment done, you can request this from your local social services.
