Advice needed, I have been told it is performed under local anaesthetic by my consultant, I thought I was ok with this, but seem to be freaking out as it is the first time i've ever gone under local.
How long did it take you recover / go back to work and normal routine?
Also were you advised on how long you should leave it before you fly?
I am trying to get hold of my consultant with these questions (and more) - but peace of mind will help for now

I can't answer your other questions, but with the local anaesthetic, it is possible you may be able to have sedation as well. Might be worth asking your consultant/discussing at your pre op assessment (assuming you have one).
P.S. there is a good Pelvic Congestion Syndrome group on Facebook if you need one - they might be able to help you.
