C-sections are know to be associated with adhesions. However, if it's the bladder adhered to the abdominal wall a hysterectomy won't do anything. In order to be sure what the situation is, I would suggest getting copies of the surgical report (s) as this should say exactly where the adhesions are. This can be requested for the hospital where you had the procedures. The PALS people at the hospital should be able to help you getting the information.

Many thanks for your reply. They suggested hysterectomy for abdo pain and to unfuse my bladder whilst they were there. I had to leave my job due to pain and flooding. Fear I may have similar situation come the autumn when I start uni. Its quite literally ruining my life. X

Hysterectomy isn't a cure for abdominal pain. There is a lot of published research on this. I would suggest getting all of the relevant information before you decide what to do.

Hi, this sounds very similar to what I experienced. I had a condition called aydenomyosis which is similar to endimytryosis (sp) it happens through c-sections and sterilisation as cells are carried from the womb into the womb muscle and surrounding tissues through evasive abdo surgery. The only cure for this would be a hysteretomy and its hard to detect - I had one due to this at 31 after painkillers etc stopped working. I did find a herbal remedy called agnus castus helpful though for a few months along with a natural painkiller called celidrin.

Hysterectomy ruined me. I would take adenomyosis which i had over it any day. I live in constant pain due to nerve damage from da vinci robot. I had 5 nerve blocks and pt for pelvic floor that only worsened me. The only medicine i can take im now allergic too. Contact hers foundation before ever considering a hysterectomy i wish I had.
