does anyone know anything about diverticular disease? as im having inflamation of my colon about every couple of months now which causes..

,,great pain. im currently taking painkillers and antibiotics and ive just started another course of them as it came back a week after the last course. id say ill be taking a trip to hospital for further investigation if it carries on..ive changed my diet to help but still suffer.. so im just wondering if anyone else has this problem...thanks

You Have to watch your diet very carefully, then you can have a quite good quality of life even with that problem. What you eat (as little as possible processed foods, sugar, white bread and rice - prefer wholesome ones, increasing your intake of FIBERS and OMEGA 3), when you eat (not big quantities at one meal, prefer 5 smaller meals every day, which is exactly what you are supposed to do for PBC too, how you eat (not too hastily, chewing well every single bite) do make a difference.

My mum has diverticularitis and she was told by the consultant to have a yakolt or something similar every day and that has really helped.

hi yes ive posted a post about diverticular decease I also have flare ups of it . but I haven't had any checks up done on my colon since I got diagnosed 2 years ago im getting painful spasms down left side of abdomen which is where my diverticular is its all along left side of colon . im feeling nausea aswell urge to empty bowels more often no blood in stools those. my stools are not allways perfect sometimes its just mush.and the constant burping and passing gas has got out of hand I do suffer from acid reflux aswell im going shivery aswell its been sudjested I may have infection hypori or something like that has anyone else had these symptoms with diverticular please
