Weight loss
I will be interested to read the replies to this thread.
There have been no studies as far as I am aware, but the aecdotal evidence points to a weight gain, not loss.
With regards to your weightloss and your PBC. If we can be of help directly, do contact me.

kingsnorth...can’t speak for Urso as I only take Ocaliva. I too, am very small & cant afford to lose weight. I have lost 2-3 lbs but mine could be attributed to thyroid. Makes us wonder??? 😊
Thanks I have also about 3lb now only weigh 8st I was always 8.4ish and now im worried it will keep coming off, having said that I have cut out fat from my diet as in butter and only now eat low fat, I cant win really
I have to watch my weight i try keeping to low fat diet i havent noticed weight loss without diet
I only lost weight from going on a gluten free/strict diet of no sodas, no junk food and try to eat only grass fed meat, veggies and fruit.
i too am small and have lost weight, however I am on a very strict low fat diet as if I eat fat I get upper outer quadrant pain.
Morning.Wgen i started urso i was 85 kh and in 6 months inreached 76.I did not eat sweets as i did before but the result was 9 kg less. Now i eat a lot more sweets and i am 79
I too have lost weght. I started on urso in Jan this year but also went on low fat diet. So far i have lost one and a half stone. Im losing more each weekly weigh and wondering when it will settle. I also have lower ab pain when i eat a normal fat diet. I also have pain with sugar substitute.
Hello , Kingsnorth
I too have lost some weight whilst taking Urso . I am also very petite, I attribute my weight loss to eating very sensible and cutting out a lot of sugar and fat . I walk everyday with my dogs . In my case I really do not think the weight loss is from the Urso .
Very kind wishes Miriam x
Almost wish I had your problem! I've always had weight problems and without exercise and a low fat, low sugar, low carb diet pile weight on, URSO or not. Like everyone else, the diet helps keep things under control, a recent holiday where the food waas high in fats resulted in me being ill for days after I got home.
Healthy eating seems to be the answer! Keep well everyone.
I agree Angela healthy eating is good im now going to eat more during the day to be honest ive never had a big appetite. I always have porridge and banana for breakfast lunch time usually advocados or tuna sandwich or boiled eggs and evening usually home chicken or veg soup. I think l have a good diet but not a calorific one so need to eat more but l will struggle
I am overweight but sadly Urso doesn’t make me lose weight. I am waiting for a miracle drug that makes me lose weight, have glossy thick hair and irons out my wrinkles (sigh)
