I think it's green! But I'm not 100% sure!

Awareness colour? Can you explain what exactly you mean.

I do presume right in perhaps thinking you mean to make others aware you have PBC? If so I know myself I'd rather not inform everyone that I have PBC unless I was ever in a situation where it would require me to have aid because of it.

Right I understand what you mean now but this is the first I have heard about it so unfortunately I cannot answer the question though I'd prefer to go with the green myself (as I see colours as a mood type of thing, ie walk into a blue room and you can feel cold, green is supposed to be relaxing, red too hot for me, etc but I won't go off the subject).

If anyone did ask as you are having a tattoo with this theme then it is an interesting subject but for me I've not as far as got round yet to explaining what PBC is if I find I have to mention it. It's still that last word 'cirrhosis'. (Out of interest the only professional so far who hasn't raised a query and did his checking up on it on the net at the time is my dentist! He even asked last year when I had a small cavity redone if was ok him using the local anaesthesia (had no problems prior) but I did rule the line on an x-ray I didn't think necessary.

Why not write or call the foundation for the correct color, I'm sure they would know.

I seem to think it was black, but a lot of people find this colour depressing so it is usually green. I could be wrong though!!

Hi littleman

I wasn't aware that there was a colour associated with PBC. However, I went on the American PBCers site and found the following e-mail from a person called Jan from Austin, Texas, on the subject of Cause Bracelets and bravelets, whatever they may be. You'll notice the last line:

"Cause Bracelets

I went to their site (using your link) and located the "Contact Us" button and sent them an email requesting that they include PBC in their bravelets!

I left my full contact info should they have any questions.

Hopefully they will reply soon! I will let the group know if and when I hear anything from them!

I agree it would be great if many of us pbc'ers sent them a note requesting that they include us.

I also noted to them that our color is already established and is "Kelly" green."

Presumably the "already established Kelly green" has been established in America only?

Or is it world-wide. I don't know.
