I dont know if you know but you can ask them to look again at their decision again before going to tribunal. Is this what you mean? You just write and say you dont agree with their decision and why etc. That process should only takes a few weeks, I cant remember exactly how many. The girl down the job centre advised me to do this as it could take a long time to get to tribunal.

Good luck and hope you dont have to wait too much longer.

I would phone up and ask whether they have received your appeal. After they made their first decision you appeal and they look at it again, then if you still disagree you can take it to tribunal . Phone and make sure they have it and if they have then ask if they can give you an idea how much longer it is going to be.

On my DLA appeal they sent a letter to say they had received it and I should hear back within 11 weeks if not to contact them so if you asked for an appeal in Jan its been a long time to have heard nothing.

At least you know it has been received and is being looked into now. :-) Hope its sorted soon for you.

Just to add though I've not considered applying for any benefits due to PBC as currently I am pretty much normal throughout the daytime and can work (though I'd not say full-time anymore), I am finding it interesting and even daunting reading contributors aggravation with the system.

Don't know if this is of any help but the DWP does have PBC down and mentions benefits (just type in DWP PBC in your search engine). It also goes in-depth about the condition so that to me says it is recognised by them.

I had read on this site awhile ago now that next year there is something called PIP coming out which replaces DLA and other benefits. I did find that on the site on a pdf and the questions look pretty much like DLA ones that I looked at awhile ago and as said at the start, I at present cannot fill out any favourable to myself with regards to claiming for this condition. Tho' I'm pretty much stable at the moment, none of us know what the future can be like for us.

Good Luck.

I sent them information on it with my claims. But its not what is wrong with you that is taken into account its what you can and cannot do.

Just filling out a form for ESA review I can handle the physical things like difficulty walking, but how the he'll do you explain how I confuse my self and family and forget what your talking about where your going and what I am doing ( walked in kitchen yesterday to find mop and bucket left there I forgot I was cleaning the floor) I feel like the village idiot at times,I can tell all of you no problem you have PBC and understand but putting it on the form makes me feel in need of the men in white coats.

Do any of you remember the song who sang it I will google it

Bye for now
