Doktor saw her on ultrazvuk or i dont know how u call it, ultrasound, sad hepar it is ok, no need for biopsy, but for preventive for Alcal Ph. he gave her Ursofalk and Hepafar. As she started taking Urso, the third night of take, started itching... Everything else is ok.Today i told the doctor and he sad she stops taking urso. I dont want her to stop taking, it is only medicine for Pbc, i think she should decrease the tablets. I am very scared she could die, please tell me you who have PBC will everything be ok ? Hello everyone π: Hello. I read about PBC... - PBC Foundation
Hello everyone π
I am not sure which foundation you talk about but the one you must get in touch with is pbcfoundation.org.uk. Please leave Google alone as it is not always correct and will cause unnessary worry. You can telephone the pbc fopundation and talk things over which may be easier for you. I was diagnosd at 60 and am now 84.
Oidra hello β€οΈ Reading on google i found this site , i just want all of you to write me experiances with this PBC. You gave me calmness now thank you very much. Tell me do you take Ursofalk, what else do u take and do you have Itching? β€οΈ
First of all, take a breath. I strongly suggest you join The PBC Foundation - it's free. So much information there! pbcfoundation.org.uk
Next it looks like her liver enymes are all normal. Why does he suspect PBC? another test that can help make the diagnosis is an AMA blood test. If this positive, it is almost always indicative of PBC. She should have one done for sure. If if her enzymes are normal, but she has a positive AMA then she should start taking Urso -- just to be on the safe side in the case that her enzymes begin to elevate. Blood work should be repeated every 3-6 months. Urso dose is ALWAYS and ONLY based on her body weight - never lab results or symptoms. Itching is a very common effect PBC has for many who have this disease. She shouldn't stop the Urso because of the itching. For some people the Urso can help the itching.
Go to The PBC Foundation website and just browse thru it. Ask anything please...
Thank you so much for this answer β€οΈπ He looked her on ultrasound and said that everything is ok, just that Vena Portae it has litle more presure than normal. All enzimes and bilirubin are ok just that one Alcal Ph. if it should be 120 her is 130. He didnt told us for AMA test.
Hallo, dear, please, first of all: don't worry so terribly. Your Mother will be better, if you shine her peace. To be sure, make the AMA test, and sometimes repeat it! I'm 70, for 25 years with PBC, 10 years on Ursofalk. My most important experience: if it's really PBC, itching or not, not taking Urso can seriosly worsen our condition and overall health. On british pbc site for itching they propose shower in the morning instead of bath at evening. Peace!
