AMA - Anti - mitochrondial Antibody

This classic antibody type is seen in PBC. Combined with elevated alkaline phosphatase, part of your liver panel blood work, a positive AMA is about 95% certain for the diagnosis of PBC.

I think this is something that should be looked at more seriously. "Anti-mitochondrial antibody." Or, in plainer English, evidence in our blood that our immune system is attacking our mitochondria. Mitochondria are like the powerhouse of our cells, they generate energy, and this could be very relevant to addressing fatigue, and to why fatigue is a symptom even for a lot of us with well-controlled liver enzymes.
