First of all, Happy New Year to all of you. I sincerely wish health and peace for you in 2025.

Resolution - I googled the word just now. Of course, I found the usual definition of 'a firm decision to do or not to do something'.

But also at the end of the explanation I found this.....'late Middle English: from Latin from 'resolvere 'to loosen, release'.

Just take a few moments today as we begin a new year, to just think of what (or who) you may want to release or loosen yourself from.

For me, I want to release myself from being constantly thinking about food and my overall body image. I truly want to learn to love myself.

What about you?

Hi Donna Since my 3rd autoimmune diagnosis I have been working on loving myself as I did wonder whether this may promote a healthier relationship with my immune system - everyday I give myself 3 hugs and say out loud “I love me” each time. Worth a try?

I love that you do that! I have also read trying to just look at yourself in the mirror in the morning and saying out loud "I love myself". Sometimes we just need reminding, don't we?!

wise words as usual DonnaBoll

resolution can also be defined as "to show things clearly, with a lot of detail"

once we release ourselves from that which drags us down we can see life with greater clarity.

Wishing you the best in 2025, Donna. That goes for all of us. This year I’m challenging myself to release stress - and get back to my healthy eating. I’m letting go of my extra teaching load (I learned the hard way that my administrator job is enough) and focusing on my better wellbeing.

Just saw the GI specialist - bloodwork looks good in that all liver enzymes, including ALP, are in the normal range. Blood glucose (I’m also type 2 diabetic) is well managed. Liver scan showed some fatty liver, though, which is a change from “an unremarkable liver,” so I know I need to do better.

Good for you! sometimes we do get that 'wake up call' to do better taking care of ourselves. Sounds like not having that extra teaching load is a great start. Congrats on your lab work! Some stress management tools might be yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises, and just increasing your general exercising. You will do this!
