Hello Eppy. I can’t relate to the nails, but when I first got on Urso I noticed some hair loss (more than usual in the shower) and my hair thinned. I started taking a multivitamin and using keratin shampoo and it helps with my hair. Thankfully I seem to have adjusted to the Urso and haven’t noticed the hair loss, but I still use the keratin shampoo to help against the thinning.
Hi Eppy I didn’t experience thinning hair but for ages before my diagnosis my nails were always breaking. I take a vitamin called Biotin every day now and my nails are so much stronger again.
My hair loss turned out to be another auto immune condition and zinc deficiency it may be worth asking for a referral to a dermatologist if the GP cannot give you any answers. Hair loss can also happen due to an under active thyroid and hormonal issues such as menopause so it may be worth having a blood test to check these things out. I think these imbalances may also impact on nail condition, perhaps a nail oil would help. hope you get some answers.
my nails are horrendous. I have ridges that have cracked. If I use nail hardener my nails get worse. I have used olaplex 3 on my hair and it stopped my hair breaking.
