Hi

Just got my recent lab results and ALP went up from 104 to 113 (normal range of laboratory is 35-105.

I don’t feel good recently and lost 3 kg weight without any action.

I think you are okay. It's normal for someone with PBC to have an ALP that is slightly raised. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and never have hit in the normal range. My last one was 209 so I would happily trade! I think anything under 200 is considered acceptable for folks in our condition. Pam

Thank you for your reply. Is your ALP up and down or constant??Next week I have appointment with my specialist doctor to see what happened to me.

My ALP has been up and down. The worst it's been since I started taking Urso is 350. It seems like it spikes up,from time to time and while sometimes during the spike I can feel a little more tired than ususal, I often don't notice anything at all. I should add that I do have cirrhosis. My doctors say I am doing really well considering the state of my liver.

I agree, as long as it's under 200 my hep is happy. Over that they may add another med. My most recent is 160, and they are very happy with that.

Thank you for your reply. Mine was always downward since I started treatment. This is the first time it spikes. So I think maybe there’s something wrong even if I don’t have any symptoms.

Wish me luck in my hepato appointment πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

Hi, my ALP has fluctuated up and down. The last 4 blood tests I have results for showed 108, 112, 102 and 113 (most recent). So your reading of 113 may not be that significant and may well come down again. My specialist was more concerned with a raise I had with ALT but said the ALP of 113 was not concerning. So just check with your specialist but it doesn’t seem that result on it’s own is significant as it’s only slightly above the reference range for ALP. Take care and all the best πŸ™
