what is a REMS Scan is it the same as a DEXA Scan?

not heard of a REMS before, had a look at google, there is a bit of information there, I don't think it is quite the same just different. Hope someone can come along soon with a good understanding of it.

They both measure bone density, my understanding is REMS is more like ultrasound technology’ and doesn’t use radiation like the DEXA scan.

I found the following info on Wikipedia,

(Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry (REMS) is a non-ionizing technology for osteoporosis diagnosis and for fracture risk assessment.
