FINALLY!!!! answers after all these years

Hello everyone. I have not been on for awhile for many reasons, mainly trying to figure out what was really going on with me. After 20+ years of being told I have PBC, I was diagnosed with NOT having PBC, but drug induced liver injury. Seems it mimics PBC, so I have the symptoms, but not an autoimmune disease. In 1997 i was is a horrible auto accident and the medications given to me caused liver damage. Continued use of supplements, and other medications have fueled the fire. So now I am on nothing but D3, calcium and essential medications. We'll see in a few months.

The good news i wanted to share is about Sertraline. I had terrible intense itching for 3 months. First the prednisone bandaid, then the Sertraline kicked in. My magic number is 75 mg. No more itching! Yippie! I will come on time to time to say hello.

Be well....Micheline

Thanks for sharing your news. I've just been diagnosed with PBC and the itching is driving me nuts! I'll ask about sertraline when I next speak to my consultant. So pleased to hear that someone has 'ditched the itch' 😀. Take Care
