I was prescribed cholestagel/colesevalam to replace Questran light. Apparently it went out of production. Some pharmacies had stock but it became difficult to obtain. Had to speak to GP about it. In these difficult times are you registered or does your surgery have an on line system where you can sort it out.

Could you try an antihistamine or have they not worked for you?

I was prescribed 2 cetirizine twice a day but it barely alleviated the itch. The GP changed my colestyramine to cholestagel when I told her that the NHS Pharmacy website clearly stated questran was not being manufactured in the UK
