I have just been told that I have a raised eosinophils count (0.9) and that if it is raises again then I will be referred to heamotology. From what i have read it can be linked to AI disorders but I can’t find PBC tone one of them. Is this a PBC thing?
Thanks for your help......

Hi. I’ve had elevated eosinophils for years. I never investigated it because I didn’t have asthma symptoms. I was tested for parasitic diseases and everything was negative. I have terrible sinus issues and allergy. Do you suffer from allergies?
I have elevated eosinophils related to my other AI disease, asthma. It’s become hard to control in the past few years and while no one has said that is related to my PBC, it does coincide with the onset of those symptoms as well. Now, in order to avoid the high doses of medication needed to control my asthma, I receive a monthly injection to bring the eosinophils under control.
I have had high eosinophils during years before I was diagnosed with PBC. As soon as I started with Urso, I have the eosinophils under control. I think there is a relationship between PBC and this figure.
I had elevated eosinophils for a couple years before being diagnosed with PBC. Once starting Ursodiol my eosinophils went back down to normal. My Dr. said the elevated eosinophils were from my PBC.
