I know I should be happy I've been awarded pip,but they have decided I only get standard care part, I didnt get mobility, they gave me a score of 4 for that part, but even for care, for preparing food they gave me a 2,even tho my mum or daughter does most meals because of arthritis, anyway I wont rant as theres a few bits I dont agree with, but I wanted to know if I ask for them to reconsider the decision do I have to go all through it again,
Many thanks for any help

Hi Ann, if you disagree with the decision you can ask for a ‘mandatory reconsideration’ using form CRMR1 or write a letter to DWP, but you have to do this within a month of the original decision letter. Apparently more than half requests are successful. Look on citizens advice website for more details. If still not successful you can go to a tribunal, which also has a good rate of supporting the objection.
The original process doesn’t start again, but you have to be prepared to explain what you’re challenging and why.
